Start your new career as a Mill Operator with MAU at our client in Madison, GA. As a Mill Operator, you will monitor milling equipment to ensure efficient operation and safety and adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and flow of materials.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior mill machinery or similar equipment/set-up experience with knowledge of materials, operating protocols, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime
  • Ability to follow instructions, understand, and follow work rules/procedures and make sound decisions
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
What You’ll Do as a Mill Operator
  • Load scheduled material onto mill and operate mill to remove moisture from stock
  • Perform cut downs using knife until smooth appearance is achieved on product stock
  • Slab off, stack, and transport stock
  • Clean rollers for re-milling
  • Sweep mill plan at the end of each batch and keep immediate area always swept and clean
  • Assist with start-up and shutdown of line as well as changeover of products, including clear cleanup
  • Follow all Safety Protocols and Procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
