- Previous machine operation experience
- Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Basic computer understanding
- Knowledge of machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude with great knowledge and experience using various hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift 26 – 50 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, and walk for much of the shift
- Load and unload the forming machine with appropriate materials to facilitate forming requirements using oven
- Read and interpret work instructions and any other related documentation to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finished specifications
- Perform de-burring, sanding, and grinding operations as necessary to meet specifications
- Cut and trim plastic pieces as necessary using hand routers or a band saw
- Inspect each part to ensure quality standards
- Monitor machine for any mechanical problems
- Complete all necessary paperwork and enter computer production information, cycle times, daily production numbers, scrap
- Can advance to completing set up and change-over procedures of the molds and fixtures
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure quality standards
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
- Perform other tasks as assigned
