MAU is hiring a CNC Setup Technician for our client in Conyers, GA. As a CNC Setup Technician, you will program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts in alignment with production specifications and safety standards. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information
  • Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Professional presentation and demeanor
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Certificate or associate degree in Machine Technology, Precision Machining, or CNC Operations
  • Previous experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers
General Requirements
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Proficient in using ERP systems for job tracking and documentation
  • Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE
  • Must be capable of performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting CNC equipment
Essential Functions
  • Read and interpret blueprints to configure machines according to specifications
  • Review job travelers and input relevant information into ERP systems
  • Load CNC fixtures and set up 3-axis and 5-axis routers
  • Measure first-piece components and submit reports to Quality for approval
  • Program CNC routers with specific instructions, tool offsets, and calculations
  • Monitor machine alignment and positioning throughout the production cycle
  • Adhere to safety protocols and operational regulations
  • Perform equipment maintenance and call for repairs as needed
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Follow all plant policies, procedures, and rules
Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to dust and variable temperatures
  • May require optional and mandatory overtime to meet deadlines
Physical Demands
  • Ability to wear required PPE
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, grip, and lift up to 50 lbs.
