MAU is hiring a Third Shift Maintenance Technician for our client in Madison, GA.As a Maintenance Technician, you will support equipment safety, maximize machine uptime, and ensure facility upkeep while improving processes related to the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This is a temp-to-hire opportunity after 520 hours of work.

Shift Information
  • 2-3-2 schedule
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Day shift for training (30 days) | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Regular night shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Required Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree, diploma, or technical certificate in a related field OR
  • 2–5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Plant Maintenance
    • Building Maintenance
    • Equipment Manufacturing
Preferred Education and Experience
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience and working knowledge in:
    • Industrial Mechanical Systems and Controls
    • Industrial Electrical Systems and Controls
    • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
General Requirements
  • Proven history of meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required)
  • Flexible schedule to provide shift coverage as needed
Essential Functions
  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance/process reliability efforts
  • Visually inspect and test mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and facility malfunctions
  • Use technical expertise to resolve equipment issues and identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist production personnel with non-routine equipment operation issues
  • Support Project Engineers in capital improvement projects
  • Collaborate with ISO Coordinator to maintain ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 compliance
  • Complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and multitask effectively
Working Conditions
  • Manufacturing facility environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, extreme heat, and loud noise
  • Required use of PPE, including half-mask respirator and safety glasses, for entire shift
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and reach for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and climbing
  • Ability to maneuver around machinery and use hands/fingers for detailed tasks
  • Color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required
