MAU is hiring a Commercial Roofing Superintendent for our client in Savannah, GA. As a Commercial Roofing Superintendent, you will lead, supervise, and execute commercial roofing installations with a focus on safety, quality, and production efficiency. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5–7 years of construction experience, including 2–3 years in commercial roofing
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and scheduling software
  • Spanish is a plus
Preferred Education and Experience
  • College education preferred
General Requirements
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including toolbox talks and safety huddles
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams to meet quality and production goals
  • Proficient in labor and material planning
  • Capable of reading shop drawings and laying out roofing and wall systems
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with GCs, customers, and crews
  • Skilled in cutting, fitting, and installing construction materials and components
  • Experience with seaming, soldering, and Architectural Building Value (ABV) practices
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and training abilities

Essential Functions
  • Review job files, drawings, scope, materials, and labor budgets with manager
  • Ensure all safety protocols and equipment are in place and properly used
  • Supervise and support crew daily on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and organize material needs
  • Coordinate and complete manufacturer training
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, reporting defective tools as needed
  • Submit daily reports, time sheets, and other required paperwork
  • Ensure overall quality control, including water tightness and proper cleanup
  • Handle punch list and project closeout activities
  • Install roofing systems, panels, flashing, gutters, curbs, and wall coverings
  • Take measurements, apply trim/panel layouts, and perform soldering
  • Install insulation, vapor barriers, and various roofing materials
  • Cut and fit metal, shingles, and flashing into tight intersections
  • Operate tools and mechanized equipment safely
  • Identify and repair roofing defects and apply sealants and coatings
  • Inspect materials and ensure compliance with roofing standards
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
Working Conditions
  • Work in extreme weather conditions (above 90°F or below 32°F)
  • Exposure to high noise, contaminants, hazardous materials, and heights
  • Work involves risk of minor injuries and requires strict adherence to safety procedures
Physical Demands
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Frequent climbing, lifting, balancing, and walking
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
  • Requires repetitive movements, bending, kneeling, crawling, and crouching
  • Visual acuity for detailed close-range work
