Overview
Job Title: Supply Chain Compliance Analyst
Position Summary: The Supply Chain Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective development, implementation, and management of supply chain compliance processes. This includes the creation and oversight of policies, templates, training programs, audit procedures, and documentation to maintain adherence to Foreign Trade Agreements (FTAs), Country of Origin (COO) declarations, and other regulatory requirements. The role supports a strong culture of compliance by promoting regulatory awareness across internal teams and external suppliers and by serving as a key point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and regularly update the master part list with supplier country of origin declarations for current production parts, revisions, and new model components.
- Manage supplier communications, including follow-ups via email, phone, virtual, and in-person meetings.
- Escalate overdue compliance responses; coordinate team meetings with suppliers, buyers, and purchasing management to drive timely compliance.
- Develop and maintain supplier training resources and compliance documentation.
- Stay current on relevant regulatory updates and incorporate changes into internal policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Innovate and streamline compliance and regulatory processes across Purchasing, the supply base, and cross-functional and affiliated teams.
- Provide regulatory guidance and ensure that policies and procedures are current and consistently followed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives.
- Manage purchasing compliance in alignment with:
- ISO standards
- JSOX requirements
- International trade compliance
- Serve as the final approver for YMDS Supplier submissions.
- Act as backup for the Environmental Supplier Compliance Analyst.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions for internal teams and suppliers regarding compliance processes.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as required such as, but not limited to Supporting corporate responsibility initiatives such as Human Rights Due Diligence, Conflict Minerals, and Carbon Neutrality compliance, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Country of Origin, Customs, Foreign Trade requirements, and purchasing compliance.
- Experience working directly with suppliers in a regulatory or compliance capacity.
Required Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to develop and deliver reports and presentations to management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of U.S. and foreign customs regulations, including trade compliance, content and origin rules, and Foreign Trade Agreements.
Familiarity with compliance practices related to Foreign Trade Zones, Customs Valuation, Country of Origin, and other import-related regulations under U.S. law.
