What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a building trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting)
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be bondable
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 70–100 lbs with assistance
- Working knowledge of safety protocols, tools, and materials for general maintenance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with residents and team members
What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Technician:
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance on buildings, apartments, and grounds
- Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
- Respond to work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Participate in emergency on-call rotation
- Conduct inspections of units to ensure compliance with housing standards
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas and public spaces
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure timely service
- Operate various types of equipment, including backhoes and street sweepers
- HVAC Maintenance: Clean coils, change filters, repair/replacement of HVAC components, log equipment data
- Vacancy Prep: Clean and prepare units (walls, floors, fixtures) for occupancy
- Site Maintenance: Inspect and repair plumbing, flooring, fences, and playgrounds
- Paint Technician: Prep and paint interiors and exteriors using various techniques
- Carpentry: Repair/replace doors, windows, cabinets, handrails, and ceilings
- Pest Control: Safely apply chemicals and pest treatments across properties
