SUMMARY:
Significant responsibilities for acting as a liaison between departments, stakeholders, and information sources, which requires many non-administrative competencies.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide first line support for the installation, maintenance and operation of all PC hardware, Printers, Copier/Printer/Scanner Units and MS/Windows software packages in use at YMMC
- Provide support for Network elements including servers, routers, switches, cabling, network drops and assist with the scheduling of any corrective or enhancement activities in these areas
- Also, could be required to support phone systems and data connections (ISDN/T1)
- Provide services to user of personal computers to include assistance with any PC hardware/software question or problem and provide assistance with problem resolution to YMMC PC Support personnel or other relevant YMMC Technical staff
- Coordinate and communicate standards for PC Support procedures as established by Yamaha
- Install/configure workstations, install hardware upgrades, help with Software Installation/Configuration and Data integrity
- Reduce problem/question occurrence through user education
- Complete administrative duties related to control and monitoring of PC issues and prepares PC hardware/software configuration for new desktop implementations
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in PC Support and Help Desk functions within an IT Department
- Or Currently enrolled taking IT courses
REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional Certifications is a major requirement (some of the certifications being looked for are MCSE, MCAS, CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA A+)
