MAU is hiring a Second Shift Group Leader for our client near Savannah, GA. As a Second Shift Group Leader, you will supervise and coordinate team leaders and team members in automotive manufacturing operations to ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery targets are achieved. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1–5 years of job-related experience preferred

Essential Functions
  • Supervise Team Leaders and Team Members in manufacturing and quality areas within an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Direct and coordinate activities of multiple team leaders engaged in vehicle production
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures
  • Observe work and monitor processes to ensure compliance with production or processing standards
  • Use independent judgment and discretion to assign, distribute, and coordinate teamwork
  • Ensure quantity and quality of work is completed within required timeframes based on team member skills, availability, and length of service
  • Implement corrective actions in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain accountability for team performance
  • Address or direct team member grievances and complaints for proper resolution
  • Support management in problem-solving initiatives and production needs
  • Participate in hiring and promotion activities as appropriate
  • Conduct probationary and other evaluations and provide recommendations
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations within and between departments
  • Ensure safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are met for assigned production areas
  • Complete special assignments as required by management
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure time input is properly completed and required administrative tasks are fulfilled
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and management
  • Administer and comply with Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
  • Meet all additional assigned requirements
Working Conditions
  • Office environment requiring extended periods at a desk and computer
  • Production environment that may be noisy, hot, and require personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 15 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and document handling
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk as needed
  • Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods in production areas
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials up to 25–30 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, machinery, or production equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders or stairs and safely operate equipment
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify hazards and communicate effectively
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
