Objective
Drive the future of mobility with us as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with Nemak in Augusta, GA. The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical and hydraulic systems supporting die-casting machines, hydraulic presses, and auxiliary equipment in high-pressure die-casting (HPDC) operations. This position will also support preventive maintenance initiatives, equipment installations, and cross-functional collaboration with automation, electrical, and robotics teams.

- First Shift | Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Second Shift | Monday to Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance required, preferably in HPDC or metal casting industries
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical and hydraulic schematics
- Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex hydraulic issues
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to identify risks and implement precautionary actions
- Knowledge of process improvement methods to support operational efficiency
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Projects
- Knowledge of the SAP PM module
- Ability to prioritize work, analyze data logically, and collaborate effectively across teams
- Accountability, assertiveness, and change management awareness
- Ability to support team engagement and people development
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems in die casting equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime
- Analyze hydraulic schematics and troubleshoot complex mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Assist with commissioning and installation of new equipment
- Collaborate with automation, electrical, and robotics teams to support operations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance best practices
