MAU is hiring a CNC Machinist for our client in Pooler, GA.
As a CNC Machinist, you will independently set up and operate large CNC lathes to machine gas turbine components to tight tolerances while supporting safe, high-quality manufacturing operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

- Initial training period of 3–6 months on first shift
- 5–7+ years of CNC machining experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
- Strong experience operating large lathes
- Proven ability to machine large, tight-tolerance components
- Experience with alloy steels, carbon steels, stainless steels, and large forgings
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work second shift after initial training period
- Demonstrate core competencies including action orientation, change champion mindset, customer focus, developing self and others, and ownership
- Independently set up and operate large CNC lathes ranging from 110–220 tons
- Machine large gas turbine components to tight dimensional and geometric tolerances
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies for large forgings and castings
- Optimize cutting parameters to improve quality, cycle time, and tool life
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to support first-time-right builds
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

- On-site position in Savannah, GA
- Second shift schedule required following training period
