As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, manage the customer order process, resolve issues, identify sales opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3–5 years of sales or inside sales experience; manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Experience using ERP systems; SYSPRO experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines
  • Assertiveness, confidence, and keen attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

What You’ll Do as a Customer Service Representative:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and consistently provide excellent service
  • Respond promptly to customer questions and complaints, providing customer-focused solutions and escalating issues to Sales Management when necessary
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing customers through quote follow-up, upselling, and cross-selling products and services
  • Follow up after sales to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and maintain reports tracking sales activity, account status, projects, key account metrics, variances, and trends
  • Communicate progress on monthly and quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product lines, processes, sales data, and information sources
  • Assist the Sales team with researching and resolving internal and external questions and issues
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators and the Sales team to develop timely and accurate quotes
  • Follow up on issued quotes
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to support appropriate customer order fulfillment
  • Manage the customer order process, including order intake, confirmation, analysis, manufacturing progress, and shipment
  • Keep customers informed of order changes, delays, or other issues
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve customer-related workflows and systems
  • Take appropriate action to prevent product, process, and system nonconformities
  • Help control the processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming products until issues are corrected
  • Generate RMAs as needed and follow up on product returns and credits according to established processes
  • Process requests for credit
  • Complete NAFTA certificates
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the position’s purpose
