Start your new career as a TIG Welder with MAU at Southern Aluminum Finishers in Villa Rica, GA. As a TIG Welder, you will perform welding and metal fabrication tasks using drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications to produce quality metal components that meet customer and production requirements. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

- 1st shift | Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM & Friday | 5:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Overtime is required as needed
- Weekend work may be required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of welding experience
- Basic MIG, TIG, and stick welding skills
- Must successfully complete an onsite welding test
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and production instructions
- Basic fabrication, fitting, measuring, and math skills
- General computer and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to work required overtime and weekends as needed
- Fabrication equipment experience preferred
- ACT WorkKeys score of 3+ in Reading for Information and Applied Mathematics
- Substance abuse testing is required as a condition of employment
- Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials according to drawings and templates
- Read production instructions and interpret part drawings to verify fabrication requirements, surface quality, and piece counts
- Perform basic TIG, MIG, and stick welding as required
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Perform basic fitting, fabrication, alignment, and assembly of metal components
- Use measuring tapes, calculators, scribes, squares, calipers, rulers, and related tools to ensure accurate fabrication
- Verify finished work meets customer specifications and quality requirements
- Notify department leadership when issues arise that could affect customer requirements
- Follow production priorities, operational schedules, and Department Lead instructions
- Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, employee performance, and cost reduction
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor
